Create Anything: Curiosity Camp
What makes us special
Guidance
We don't teach, we guide. Guiding learners by asking questions, leveling with them, developing their curiosity and supporting in where they want to go.
Exposure
As fun as it is to dive into rabbit holes. Seeing what's out there is extremely important. We expose learners to new ideas and experiences, showing things they can get curious about.
Teamwork
A huge part is learning with and from one another. The only way that works is if we feel like a team. Encouraging learners to learn collaboratively and achieve a shared goal.
Frequently asked questions
Book an intro callI live outside the Netherlands. Can I still join?
Of course! We welcome learners from all over the world. We can talk through any logistics needed to get to the camp. The camp is completely in English, so as long as you understand and can communicate, you're more than welcome to be part of this experience. Send us a message and we'll do all we can!
When?
There are two cohorts:
- 27th July at 10:00 until 31st July at 15:00 (with a celebration until 16:00)
- 3rd August 10:00 until 7th August at 15:00 (with a celebration until 16:00)
Can i join for both cohorts?
You're more than welcome! You can either gohome for the weekend, or stay with us for no extra cost. But note that there will not be a program during the weekend, but you're welcome to work on projects, help us cook, play games with others, or just chill.
For who?
For youth aged 11-15 who enjoy learning about topics which interest them, and creating projects based on these interests. These projects could be anything from music and art to cooking and video game design. We provide the collaborative and supportive space and guidance for this learning to happen.
What makes this special?
On the first day we co-create the camp rules together with the Guides and the Learners. We see each other eye to eye and will nurture a love for learning, discover responsibility, and create this experience collectively. We restrict our camp to 30 Learners. The Guides are international youth from across the world who specialize in bringing out the most in each Learner, through individual guidance and support. During the camp, Learners will create around 2 projects and around 2 mini-projects. They are free to choose anything they want to create, while we provide the support, resources, and space they need to turn their ideas into real projects. As long as they are curious, we are happy!
Our organisational goal is to bring passion into learning and nurture the curiosity we are all born with. See more info on the About, or Ron's TEDx Talk.
Typical Curiosity Camp day?
The camp day is centred around the Learners, so everything we do is also chosen by them. We have tons of activities throughout the day to give guidance, exposure to new ideas, build teamwork, and of course, have fun. We strike a balance between the use of technology and outdoor exploration! And of course, there is daily time to work on their projects and mini-projects. Learners can always opt-in, opt-out, and create their own activities.
